'89 Dennou Kyuusei Uranai is one of those horoscope sims that used to be very popular in Japan in the early days of home consoles. They still exist today, but they tend to be extended to more interactive dating sims rather than just walls of text to read.
This game being released in December 1988 and namely so, it was designed to predict your fortune for the upcoming year 1989. This makes attempting to play it already kind of useless once the year had passed. Therefore one can only look back at what the computer predicted for you back in 1989.

The pitch is depicted from a horizontal perspective and the player is fixed to a certain position, rather than being able to switch to the athlete from their team that is closest to the ball. The story mode focuses on one player, watching them and their team progress through the various rounds of the national tournament. The player can configure the appearance of this protagonist and train them in various soccer skills to improve their performance in matches.

Building on 007: Everything or Nothing's range of strengths, 007: From Russia with Love is based on the 1963 film starring Sean Connery as James Bond. He is sent to Istanbul to acquire the Russian decoder machine known as the Lektor from a (supposedly) defecting Russian agent by the name of Tatiana Romanova. However, the Russians have no knowledge of this plan because it is a trap for James Bond created by the criminal organization known as Octopus. It is up to James Bond to seize the device and confront the dangerous assassin Red Grant and the ruthless Rosa Klebb.
In most of the 18 missions the player progresses through linear levels while shooting everything in sight. The player can lock onto an enemy at range and cycle between visible enemies, or focus in closer on a single enemy to make opportunistic targets appear, such as uncovered grenades or gaps in armor. Sometimes Bond can also use stealth or hand-to-hand combat, which are basically quick-time events where the player needs to press a displayed button in a limited time to dispatch a foe. Special tasks can be preformed with gadgets, e.g. the laser watch or a small remote controlled helicopter. This procedure gets spiced up with occasional driving or new jet pack sequences.
The player gets rewarded for certain actions with bonus points, e.g. succeeding in melee combat or searching containers. There are three different kind of points which unlock different things: bonus content like making of videos, bonus levels, and weapon upgrades. Every weapon and gadget can be upgraded in different areas, but only once.

NightFire will feature an original single player storyline -- written exclusively for the game and borrowing from the rich 007-legacy that spans 40 years. As Bond, players will operate in the snow capped Austrian Alps and the far reaches of outer space as well as underwater in the depths of the South Pacific to defeat the evil criminal mastermind Rafael Drake, the popular head of a supposedly benign environmental organization who secretly is bent on world domination.
In 007: Tomorrow Never Dies, which is based on the movie of the same name, the player takes the role of the famous James Bond who fights against Elliot Carver. Carver tries to increase his TV ratings by creating a war between the British and the Chinese. To achieve his goal he sunk a British ship with his stealth ship and made it look like the Chinese Air Force was the offender. Now it is Bond's responsibility to set things right...

Bond's Best Missions! Battle through 10 exciting levels with a variety of objectives.
- Over 20 Q-Lab Gadgets and Weapons! Bond's P2K, Infrared Glasses, Cell Phone Stunner, and many more.
- All new 3D Engine! High resolution textures, fast framerate and amazing view distances make this the best-looking POV game on the PlayStation game console.
- Improved AI! Enemies will react to you, communicate with each other, and even retreat!
- Authentic Dialogue! Interact with other characters and experience movie-like cinematics with full speech.
This version of the game has a few notable differences to its Nintendo 64 counterpart: it runs off a version of the Medal of Honor engine, and has 11 missions in contrast to the N64's 14; some of which are not shared between the two. The missions that are similar (usually those taken from the film) further tend to play out differently, and utilize completely different gadgets and weaponry.

007: The World is Not Enough is based off of the 1999 James Bond film of the same name. In it, Pierce Brosnan's Bond must investigate the murder of a British oil tycoon and attacks on his new pipeline, which leads to a larger sinister plot requiring gunplay and frequent flier miles to diffuse.
In contrast to the Nintendo 64 and Playstation versions, this game only has eight missions and features a 2D overhead view instead of a 3D first-person. There is no multiplayer, no difficulty levels, and no save feature. Passwords are used to skip to later levels and unlock certain cheats.

Then, if you get bored playing alone, you can eliminate your opponent in multiplayer missions where you have to destroy the other car, or a game mode called "Pass the Bomb", where you must pass the bomb to the other car by touching it before you blow up.

The game is viewed in a top-down perspective and is vertical scrolling. The player does not select plays for either offense or defense. On offense, the player simply receives the ball upon the snap and either attempt to run with the quarterback, toss the ball to one of two running backs, or throw the ball to the one long distance receiver - basically the option offense. On defense, the player chooses one of two players to control, and the computer manipulates the others. The ball can also be punted or a field goal can be attempted.

The main idea of this game is that players take control of a football team and have the task of trying to score a touchdown before the clock runs out.
Players start out as a high school team. Games consists of two halves. One touchdown must be scored before time runs out in each half or the game is lost. After a touchdown is scored, the half ends and the 2nd half of the game starts. If the player scores in both halves, they win the game, and then move on to the next level of difficulty. Difficulty levels after high school go from college, pro, then to super. The higher the difficulty, the less amount of time is given for a player to score a touchdown.
Since the game is concerned with scoring touchdowns, in the 1 player game the player is always on offense. Players can score points for completing passes and for gaining yards by either rushing or passing. Scoring a touchdown also adds to the players score, as does any remaining time on the clock after the touchdown is scored. Also after a touchdown, the player can add on to their score by kicking an extra point.
Other rules on the field include getting a 1st down to add time to the clock. If the player throws an interception or go four downs without getting a 1st down, they are penalized yards.
In a 2 player game, the second player plays defense until it's their turn to play offense.

102 Dalmatians is a 3D platformer where you become a courageous Dalmatian puppy, who must rescue your family and friends from the clutches of Cruella De Vil. Disney's 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue features beloved characters from 101 Dalmatians and new characters based on the upcoming 102 Dalmatians live action movie.
The game follows the films' storyline loosely. The player can choose the role of one of two dalmatians, Oddball or Domino, who are out in the backyard looking for treasure. It is not long before the player realizes that a toy found buried in a park was made at one of Cruella de Vil's toy factories; this alludes to the fact that Cruella's toy sales are down, which ultimately leads to the problem in the storyline. Facing financial ruin from lack of sales, Cruella sets an evil plan in motion - to reprogram her toys to capture any pets in sight. Oddball and Domino are the only puppies in their family who have not been captured when they return from the park. Their parents, Dottie and Dipstick, set out to rescue their puppies, commanding Oddball and Domino to stay home and 'be good.' The puppies do not listen, and are soon out on their biggest adventure yet - to save their brothers and sisters, and their parents who are captured along the way.

1552 Tenka Tairan is a war strategy game (with MOUSE support!) set during the Sengoku period of the Japanese history. The three campaign scenarios are set, respectively, in the years 1552, 1582, and 1600. The player is put in the midst of the so-called gekokujou situation, when ambitious daimyo (feudal lords) began to overthrow their superiors, resulting in a global war for dominance in Japan. The player controls such a warlord, choosing one of the available historical figures, or creating his/her own character. Character creation is Ultima-style; the player is asked a series of questions, and depending on the answer, the player-controlled general will have different statistics.
The gameplay involves managing the army, advancing the troops, conquering neighboring provinces, defending own castle, etc. Though the game pauses when the player makes a decision, the time advances regardless of the player's actions, effectively making Tenka Tairan a real-time strategy game. Battles take place on separate screens, with a wealth of tactical possibilities for positioning and maneuvering the troops.

The main purpose of the game is to make it to the finish line with the truck's cargo. Players are given a set amount of time, but can ram into special vans that will add three seconds to the timer. There are several characters to choose from, each with a unique truck and attributes.
The game starts out in Key West and players travel across the United States, ending in San Francisco. After Stage 1, the game gives the player a choice of trailer. One trailer is harder to haul, but provides a bigger payoff while the other choice is easier to haul but provides a smaller payoff. Money is deducted from the total when the trailer is hit. Players can sound the truck's horn to make other cars on the road yield and slipstream behind large vehicles to gain a momentary speed boost.
In addition to the time limit, players also compete with the "Lizard Tail", a rival trucker. Crossing the finish line before the Lizard Tail yields additional money. In between levels, players can park the truck in a mini game to earn more cash.

In order to become "top dog" of the game the player must race and defeat opponents through a variety of different stages all set in Los Angeles's infamous South Central region.
The game's title comes from two phrases common in the subculture. 187 is the California Penal Code section that defines murder. It has come into general use among gangs in the United States as a synonym for murder, and this usage has passed into popular culture via gangsta rap. "Ride or die" is a combination of the phrases "ride it out" and "die trying", meaning one is willing to do anything even if it involves personal risk.
If playing with another player, one can be the driver and the other can be the shooter. This can be done in the story and online mode. There are a variety of modes available to the player.

The prequel to 1942, like the other games in the 19XX series, is a top down shooter set in WWII.
One or two players control a P-38 (for player 1) or a Mosquito (for player 2), shooting enemy airplanes and ships. As in the previous games, one button shoots the airplane's weapon (which is upgradeable by collecting power ups left by enemies) and the other makes the airplane loop, destroying everything on screen (or causing extra damage to bosses, fought at the end of each level). The regular ammo is infinite, while the upgraded weapons have limited ammo. When the weapon button is held down, a bar at the bottom of the screen is charged and a special shot can be released, which varies in effect from weapon to weapon.
The airplane has a life bar which starts with three points. Each hit taken or loop used will consume one life point. The player will earn new life points at the end of levels or by collecting proper power ups. Other power ups available are auxiliary side and ghost airplanes. Three continues can be used, and one point is added to the score when one of them is used (a feature first introduced by this game and then copied by other shoot-em-ups).

The players control WWII planes in this 2-D vertically scrolling shooter. Missions are flown alternately in the clouds against enemy planes and over water where there player must also disable enemy ships. There are many different weapons available via power-ups.
The game is set in the Pacific theater of World War II, off the coast of the Midway Atoll. The goal is to attack the Japanese Air Fleet that bombed the players' American Aircraft Carrier, pursue all Japanese Air and Sea forces, fly through the 16 levels of play, make their way to the Japanese battleship Yamato and destroy her. 11 Levels consist of an Air-to-Sea battle (with a huge battleship or an aircraft carrier as an End-Level Boss), while 5 levels consist of an all-aerial battle against a squadron of Japanese Bombers and a Mother Bomber that needs to be destroyed.
As in 1942, players pilot a P-38. Two buttons are used: one for regular attacks (with several weapons) and one for special actions that executes either a loop like in 1942 or one of three special attacks that damage the plane. Unlike 1942, the player only has one life, with one refillable energy meter. Destroying a complete formation of red enemy planes will result in a power-up, such as a health boost or a temporary special weapons which replaces the default twin gun.

A modern airplane shooter. This is the final game in the 194X series. The graphics are great, the big airplanes are tough but with a super weapon, you will stand a chance.
You can choose between 3 fighters, each of which has a different mix of speed, default weapon-power, and homing weapon-power.
SHOOT is for the primary weapons, and BOMB controls a limited number of special weapons you can get extra by collecting powerups. During the game, if you hold down SHOOT for a short time, a power-shot missile will be released and whatever it hits will be "locked" for a period of time or until it is destroyed. While the target is "locked", you will fire extra weapons that automatically home in on the locked target.

World Cup 2002 is the official game of the 17th FIFA World Cup, held in Korea and Japan between May 31 and June 30. It is based on the engine of FIFA Soccer 2002, so experienced Fifa players can get used for it quite fast.
It is based on the 2002 World Cup - Korea and Japan, and includes all of the countries who promoted to the World Cup, and a lot more. Small statistics are shown for every country - their last biggest win, appearances at the World Cup, etc.
The stadium and all players are really detailed. The player's texture's resolution is so high, you can easily recognize most of them. The stadium is big and impressive, and full of colored crowd.
As in FIFA Soccer 2002, animation were taken from real players, with motion sensors. Thus, some new animation were added - new sliding, falling, and more.
And the newest feature of 2002 FIFA World Cup, is the air ball control model. You can take balls from the air, and have much more control with them - creating great goals from the air.

Super Baseball 2020 is a futuristic baseball video game. It was first released in Japan for the Neo Geo in 1991, and then it was later released in North America for the Mega Drive/Genesis (ported by NuFX and released by Electronic Arts) and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (released by Tradewest) in 1993.
The game follows the basic rules of baseball, but there are several upgrades since the game takes place in the year 2020. The most obvious difference from real baseball is that some of the characters in this game are robots. All the human characters are equipped with powerful armor, computer sensors, and jet-packs for improved offense and defensive skills.

The game is a simple black and white monochrome driving game. You control a car through a night time scene, and the road is represented by simple posts at the edges. The top of the screen will display information about upcoming curves (like the maximum safe speed to take them at), while the bottom of the screen has a speedometer, timer, scoreboard, and may also display a few tips as well. Just drive, and don't crash. Pay attention to your speed on the corners to avoid crashing.

The Three Stooges, fully titled as The Three Stooges in Brides is Brides on the title screen, is a 1984 arcade game by Mylstar Electronics. It is based on the comedy act of the same name.
The game features digital voice samples. At the start of the game, up to three players control Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard. Players must help the Three Stooges find their fiancees, Cora, Nora and Dora, who were kidnapped by the Mad Scientist. In all rooms, players must find the three hidden keys that unlock the exit. Interfering socialites and cops are dealt within typical Stooges-style: face slaps, hammer hits, and the ever-dependable cream pie throws. In the bonus rounds, players must avoid the sour notes of the opera singer, as well as cops, while collecting the three keys to the exit. In the Mad Scientist's laboratory, the players will be able to save only one fiancee, before players must find the other two fiancees. After all fiancees are saved, the game starts over.

Jūma Hōkan is based on the manga series 3x3 Eyes. Long time ago, in ancient China, a group of people discovered the secret of immortality. They became "sanzhiyan" (three-eyed ones) and possessed supernatural powers that were manifested in a third eye each one of them had. One of the sanzhiyan, a girl named Pai, longed to become a normal human again. She was aided by the Japanese scientist and explorer Fujii, who then disappeared in Tibet under mysterious circumstances. Fujii's son, Yakumo, became connected to Pai by merging his soul with her and becoming a "wu", an immortal being. Now they both travel around the world, trying to regain their human essence, and having their base in Hong-Kong, working for Li Lingling, the head of the Monster Fighting Agency.
This game follows the story of volumes 8 to 11 of the manga. Lingling discovers a letter left by Fujii, where he reports about a strange tribe that can control beasts. Yakumo is ordered to travel to Nepal, but first he has to find more information about the mysterious tribe by contacting people in Hong-Kong.
The game is a mixture of puzzle-solving and side-scrolling action, with the emphasis on the first. Yakumo moves around the game world, picking objects and manipulating them in order to solve puzzles, and talking to characters. But he can also jump, climb on ladders, run, and sometimes fight enemies in side-scrolling style.

Sanjiyan Henjō is based on the manga and anime series 3x3 Eyes. Pai, a young girl from the immortal tribe of sanzhiyan, three-eyed demons of Chinese origin, wants to become a human again. She meets a Japanese teenager named Yakumo Fujii, whom she accidentally turns into a "wu", an immortal obedient servant of a three-eyed demon. Together, Pai and Yakumo try to regain their lost humanity.
This game can be considered a side-story to the series. The player does not control Yakumo, but an ordinary high-school student named Kenichi Yamamoto. Accidentally, Kenichi comes into contact with the world of demons, and now he needs the help of Pai and Yakumo to be freed. The gameplay is standard Japanese-style adventure. The player interacts with the game world by selecting menu commands "Look", "Talk", and "Move". The game features animated cutscenes and (in its console incarnation) voice-overs.
3x3 Eyes: Seima Kōrinden is a Japanese-style RPG set in modern times. Player-controlled characters can travel from location to location by plane, or riding Pai's winged demon. On their journey Yakumo and Pai meet other characters who join the party, and visit cities and dungeons, where they fight enemies in turn-based style. Battles are viewed from first-person perspective. Every character has various spells and techniques which can be used in battles.

Multi-player mode consists of up to four people; each having their own cartridge, or single-card play, one player with a game card, and each player with a DS (this mode only works with Battleship and Boggle). "Hot Seat" mode is also available, with one DS and one cartridge with people taking turns, passing it to the next person when their turn is finished. Monopoly
Players take turns buying, auctioning, and trading property, receive money by passing GO, collecting rent and drawing the appropriate Chance and Community Chest cards, and win the game by being the remaining player left without going bankrupt. Letters have to join in proper order, you may not use the same letter cube in the same word, and letters may be joined horizontally, diagonally, or vertically, left, right, or up and down. Words must be legal words found in a standard English dictionary, and words that aren't accepted are crossed out. The control pad is used to scroll the scoring boxes to enter your score using the stylus; once a score is entered, you may not enter a score in that same box again. You may choose various modes of play from Classic, to special themed games like Hamster, Haunted, Lava, Lunar, and Pisa.
Battleship
Place your five ships horizontally or vertically, Players take turns by firing shots on the grid, in an attempt to sink their opponent's ships before their opponent sinks their fleet of ships. You may select Single player mode, or you may play against a friend in Multi-Player mode. You may choose from different styles of fleets; Classic, Viking, Pirate, Modern, Sci-Fi, or Underwater. You may select different rules options like Standard; players take turns firing shots on the grid to try sinking the other player's ships, Ultimate; like Standard except you also are able to place five mines before the game starts; an opponent's ship takes a hit if they place a ship on one of your mines (only with Classic or Modern fleets), and Speed War; this mode plays as Standard, except you only have three seconds to fire your shots.

The player can play against one to three computer opponents using the tiles associated with the Japanese variation of the game This is also known as the 立直, リーチ (Ready Hand) variation. Spreading to most mahjong-related video games after this one, it has become the most widely accepted form of Mahjong to the Japanese gamer. 4 Wheel Thunder is the off-road racing sequel to the power-boat racing game Hydro Thunder.
In this game, players race around two types of courses; huge outdoor tracks and smaller indoor tracks. All in all, there are 24 areas in which to race, including various day/night and rain/sunshine variations. The game includes the standard championship, practice race, and two player modes.
The Thunder series of games is unique in that the key to winning the race lies not in careful steering and braking, instead focusing more in finding the boost power-ups that lie around the tracks. Each boost icon adds a few seconds of time to your boost meter. The player then can press a boost button to increase the speed of the truck dramatically. Without using boost power-ups, the player has no chance of winning a race.

A connect four style game with a battle mechanic. Two players represented by a Cowboy and Indian attempt to drop red and blue blocks in a attempt to get four in a row. Puzzle King is a compilation arcade game that was released by K1 Soft and HAN System, in 2002; it runs on the same hardware used by Toaplan for Snow Bros.: Nick and Tom in 1990, but increases its Motorola 68000 to 16 MHz, decreases its Zilog Z80 to 4 MHz and utilises a Yamaha YM-2151 and an OKI MSM-6295 for audio instead of a Yamaha YM-3812. Three of its four titles were initially released by other Korean manufacturers under different names, and one is that aforementioned "Snow Bros.".
Games in this compilation:
-- Pac-Man 2 (1995): Initially released under the name of "Hyper Pac-Man", by SemiCom, this is the second compilation that this unofficial title for Namco's Pac-Man series has been featured in (as it was previously in SemiCom's own XESS: The New Revolution).
-- Tetris (2002): This variation on Alexei Pazhitnov's "Soviet puzzle game" was never released as a standalone game, but features new characters including a chicken called "Cocki-U" and a farmer.
-- Hyper Man 2 (1997): Originally released under the title of "New Hyper Man" by SemiCom in their aforementioned "XESS", this is (again) the second compilation that this unofficial title for the Pac-Man series, in which the Pac-Mans stop moving if the joysticks are let go of, has been featured in.
-- Snow (1990): Originally released under the name of "Snow Bros.: Nick and Tom" by Toaplan, this single-screen platform game now has new audio; it's also worth noting that the ending sequences of all three of the previously released games were removed for this compilation and replaced with a generic screen featuring a grinning clown holding a piece of paper with "THE END" written on it.

4x4 Evo is a racing game featuring real-life pickup trucks and SUV's. Actual trucks from manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota and more are included.
The actual racing game is based very heavily on Terminal Reality's Monster Truck Madness series of games, except with SUV's instead of monster trucks.
One significant feature of 4x4 Evo is the online multi-player option. The Dreamcast, PC, and Macintosh versions can compete against each other in 4 player online races.
In addition to the on-line mode of play, there is a single player career mode. The career mode gives you a small allotment of money with which to purchase a truck. You then can compete in races to earn more money for more trucks or performance parts for your current truck.

4x4 Evo 2 is a sequel to the 2000 release 4x4 Evo. This game is very similar to it's predecessor, but now it appears on newer platforms, and has more trucks, and many more tracks.
The trucks in this game are licensed likenesses of trucks you may see driving down the streets of suburban America. You can purchase a truck in career mode, and then trick it out with custom parts to turn it into an off-road monster.
The career mode from 4x4 Evo is again the main focus of 4x4 Evo 2. This time, crazy missions provide for an alternative to the races found in the rest of the game. For example, you may find yourself using your truck to track down lost gold, or locate misplaced outhouses.
The GameCube version features four exclusive tracks and four exclusive trucks.

A side-scrolling fighting game starring Rick and Allen, two private detectives on a case to retrieve a "Rich Man's" kidnapped daughter, set in October, 1939.
The story starts out in a typical Double Dragon/Final Fight style setting at 64th Street with two protagonists: Rick (Anderson), a calm and intelligent, 35-year old professional private detective and manager of the detective agency; and Allen (Tombs), a 19-year old, reformed delinquent trained by Rick, who is "short-tempered and violent when angry". At the start of the plot, an evil corporation known as the Legacy organization, kidnapped the daughter of a mid-aged rich man and left him a letter explaining why they kidnapped her.
Late one night, before Rick and Allen was about to close their office, the mid-aged rich man, rushed inside the office while being exhausted. He asked for support on saving his daughter and gave the letter to Rick and Allen. The next day, Allen notices an advertisement in the classifieds with similar sentence structure to the letter left by the kidnappers. Rick couldn't understand it so easily, until Allen told him to look cautiously at both, the letter and the ad. They soon realised that the writing was actually a secret code, only understood by certain crime lords, so Rick and Allen struggled toward the main base of the Legacy organisation to find the truth and save the kidnapped daughter. The setting later takes on a steampunk feel as it goes along, coming to a head in a battle inside a blimp.

An early submarine game with ten missions which can be played with both American and Soviet attack submarines. The game focuses on realism with several stations the player can use (sonar, weapons, navigation, helm, radio and periscope) but most duties can be delegated to crew members. The graphics are mostly close-up views of the control panels but in some occasions they feature digitized images of surface ships and crew.
