ShipEd -- a ship editor for Master of Orion v1.3 ShipEd Version 1.0 written by buggy@adam.com.au This program was written to allow easy customisation (cheating) of your fleet. It is totally free! Feel free to distribute as widely as you like. It allows you to do the following: * edit the number and type of weapons in each of the 4 weapon slots * edit the specials that the ship carries * edit the shield strength of the ship * edit the attack and defence strength of the ship * edit the ships' warp modifier * edit the ships' hit points (to a maximum of 30000) READ THIS --------- * In no way am I responsible for any damage these programs may cause. You use them at your own risk. They shouldn't cause any problems, however. * I make no claim about their usability. They work for me and should work for you, but I promise nothing. * All changes you make are written to the save file immediately. You have been warned. * This has only been tested on v1.3 of Master of Orion. It should not be used on other versions. ** You should but this file in the same directory as the save game files, not somewhere else on the path. Changes may not be kept if it is not in the same directory. Navigating the program ---------------------- To move through the ships, use the left and right arrow keys. Getting Help ------------ You can get help from the main screen by pressing F1. It lists all keys that have actions associated with them, and briefly describe what they do. Exiting ------- You exit this program by hitting ESCAPE from the main screen. Some things you should know --------------------------- * There is a limit of 255 for attack and defence strength, for shielding and also for the warp modifier. * There is a limit of 99 weapons in each bay. Although up to 255 can actually be put in, MoO isn't set up to handle 3 digit numbers on the ship info screen, overwriting part of the screen. 99 is also the limit in the game, so I stuck to that. * The maximum number of hit points that any ship can have is 30000. I hope you find this program of some use, and hope to hear from some of you. Feel free to email. Enjoy!
